About Step Kidz NFP
Our Vision
Step Kidz is a 501(c)(3) charity based in Riverdale, IL. Our mission is to increase youth participation in athletic and performance activities in underserved communities. We are currently servicing Riverdale, Il and other Chicagoland South Suburbs along with the far southside of Chicago, which includes the Pullman area.
Our Approach
Our goal is to remove the barriers hindering our youth's participation in athletic and performance activities. We want to provide children with the necessary tools needed to participate, including assistance with registratoin fees, uniforms, athletic apparel and shoes, and other assistance. If there's a reason why they can't, Step Kidz wants to give them a reason why they can.
We also want to introduce more youth to these activities in an effort to garner more interest and participation through our Love 2 Play Project.
The Love 2 Play Project will introduce youth to various athletic and performance activities including basketball, soccer, volleyball, and even boxing. During these events they will learn the fundamentals of the activity, having fun while doing so, and receiving fun swag for their participation. We want to get them excited about being active and staying active.

Upcoming Event
Step Kidz is planning a basketball "try it out" event for girls ages 5-12 on March 8, 2025. Stay tuned for more information.
