About Step Kidz NFP
What We Are About
Our mission is to inspire and develop young people through meaningful athletic and performance opportunities. We create accessible pathways for youth to play, perform, and grow, while nurturing the interests and confidence they build through participation. Step Kidz proudly serves children and families across Chicago and the Chicago South Suburbs.
One Step At A Time
To advance our mission, we have the Love 2 Play Project, which is designed to remove barriers and open doors for youth participation in athletic and performance activities. Through this initiative, we:
- Introduce or reintroduce youth to a variety of athletic and performance activities—including basketball, soccer, volleyball, boxing, and more—by teaching fundamentals in a fun, engaging environment.
- Provide “starter kits”—fun, motivating swag that celebrates their participation and encourages them to stay active.
- Cover the cost of registration for an activity of their choice, helping families access programs that spark their child’s interest.
- Offer support in obtaining essential gear such as uniforms, athletic apparel, shoes, and other tools needed to continue participating confidently.
If there’s a reason they can’t, Step Kidz is here to give them a reason they can.
